This entire home was flooded by a PSS26.
Total damages exceeded $74,000.00!
Six months after purchasing a new GE Profile Stainless steel refrigerator model
PSS26SGPSS from Lowe's Home Improvement Center, the homeowner came home from
work to find water streaming out from underneath her garage door. When she
entered the house, she found all 3400 square feet flooded. Her house had
to be gutted. Lowe's 'went to bat' for her and replaced the refrigerator
over the objections of GE. Her insurance company is suing GE for
reimbursement of the claim. She had to pay a $1,000.00 deductible for the
damages caused to her home. Please note that we have received numerous
reports of homes flooding due to valve problems or cracked water filters in GE
refrigerators.
